Pool cage installation in Palmetto should start with the surveyed footprint and engineered design, then move to the view and screening options. The city’s enclosure checklist names both a legal survey with setbacks and signed, sealed plans. Chacon Screening and Screenmasters of Sarasota build custom aluminum enclosures, so request comparable layouts before deciding between mesh choices or wider-view configurations.
Ask each contractor to identify the intended cage position, door arrangement and relationship to the house and pool. Palmetto’s enclosure instructions distinguish registered-contractor electronic submissions from owner-builder hard copies. Assign the submission responsibility and ensure the design being priced is the version intended for review.
Chacon describes design, engineering and permit work within its installation process. Screenmasters also offers picture-window modifications and gutter upgrades. If those features are wanted in a new design, name them explicitly and ask how they affect the structural layout rather than treating them as cosmetic additions after the quote.
